　　cake口语用法两例
　　1. It‘s a piece of cake.
　　表示某事很容易，可译为：那是小菜一碟;那是轻而易举的事;那很容易。如：
　　A：I can‘t do the work. It’s too difficult. 这工作我做不了，太难了。
　　B：Too difficult? No， it‘s a piece of cake. 太难了，不，那只是小菜一碟。
　　根据情况也可用其它时态形式：
　　That won‘t give me any trouble. It’ll be a piece of cake. 那不会给我添麻烦的，事情很容易。
　　I needn‘t have worried about my maths exam—it was a piece of cake. 我本来不必担心我的数学考试的，那简直是容易极了。
　　2. You can‘t have the cake and eat it too.
　　表示不能同时做两件互不相容的事而双收其利，即两者不可兼得或不能两全其美)，可译为：不能什么都随你;不能两全其美;事难两全;两者不可兼得。如：
　　He can‘t make up his mind whether to go to college or get a full-time job. You can’t have your cake and eat it. 上大学还是找个全日工作的职业，他还拿不定主意，两者不可兼得啊。
　　You spend all your money on beer and then complain about being poor， but you can‘t have your cake and eat it， you know. 你把所有的钱都喝啤酒喝完了，然后又抱怨没钱用，你知道，这不能两全其美啊。
　　有时也可说：You can‘t eat your cake and have it.
